a month agoI recently tried a class at Iron Hive while visiting the area. Booking was a bit confusing- the website didn’t seem to work, so I had to arrange everything through Instagram. At reception, the process felt quite strict. I wanted to try one class before deciding on a package, and while we eventually found a solution, the communication could have been more flexible and welcoming. The class itself was 45 minutes and included a mix of running, rowing, ski machine, and basic strength exercises. A significant part of the session involved running laps around the gym. With the door open, the temperature changed a lot between inside (air-conditioned) and outside, which affected the overall comfort. The facility is relatively small. Some of the equipment appears worn, and overall cleanliness could be improved. The changing area is very basic (open shelves), and there are no towels provided. Drinking water is not available unless purchased. The price for a single class (800 THB) felt high compared to the overall experience and facilities. That said, the coach was fine, and the workout itself may suit people who enjoy a simple, cardio-focused format. For me personally, it didn’t match my expectations, so I won’t be returning.

4 months agoProper strength gym for serious lifters Walked in wearing my SBD shirt and the staff immediately said "you're a powerlifter." I was travelling for work in Bangkok so only trained here once, but it looks like a great community. Three dedicated training zones: powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and HYROX. Trained Friday 9pm and found three lifters on the Olympic platforms moving serious weight, plus a few others training solo. Small groups training together, very focused atmosphere. Air-conditioned throughout. Adequate changing rooms and showers. ClassPass accepted at 3 credits which is exceptional value. Best for: Powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, serious strength training

4 months agoAwesome gym with a great competitive atmosphere! I visited it during my short stay in the city - booked an Olympic Weightlifting class, and if I lived in Bangkok, I’d definitely attend the gym regularly. Good equipment, nice community, and a great location.

3 months ago‼️I’ve been to 104 countries and Iron Hive Gym is the worst gym I’ve ever been to‼️ Poor standards, messy and dirty, bad customer service, too hot and even dogs and small kids running around inside! And they charge 600 baht for drop in. It was so bad that I had to leave after 20 minutes. The prices are insane. 3400 baht per month. That’s more than double the price of a normal gym in Europe and the US. And 3x - 5x the price of a normal gym in Thailand. Iron Hive Gym price themselves a high-end premium gym but the whole gym is a disaster and a complete rip off. Save your valuable time and money and stay away from this horrible gym. There are many better options in town with normal and fair prices, and that are clean and tidy, have AC, no dogs and kids running around inside and friendly staff. Don’t trust all their fake reviews. Read the bad reviews and stay away from this gym. Don’t waste your time and money there like I did.

a month agoI’ve come here a number of times for strength and conditioning classes. The instructors — especially Porpor — are solid. I feel the gym is really loud compared to other gyms in Bangkok, and the facilities feel worn out. I’ll still happily continue to take classes here, but. with a refresh, this would be a top gym for me.
