4 months agoNothing beats home cooked goodness and an authentic Italian cuisine! So thankful we found this little place. Thank you so much, and we look forward to joining you again. Not sorry at all about my empty plates. Can’t wait to try more. Enjoyed our time with you and your beautiful wife!!!

3 months agoMemorable meal as always. I have been to Azzurro 3 or 4 times now and always have a delicious meal and a good experience. The owner, Domenic, if he happens to be there, is a great host. This time, however, my meal was memorable in another way. A new menu appears to have come with much higher prices. A fiend I each had a pasta, shared a salad and had two waters (no alcohol) and our lunch bill with tip was just under 1,600 baht. More than I am willing to pay for lunch, even for Azzurro’s nice meals.

4 months agoI live in a building around here and I always pass by wondering why there is no one ever at this restaurant. I discovered why. They have terrible service and mediocre food. I normally don’t rate restaurants unless there is a clear mismatch between the rating and reality, this is clearly a mismatch. For starters this is a Italian restaurant supposedly run by an Italian and they served their house red wine cold, that may be common in Thailand but it is totally out of place for the ambience this restaurant attempts to create. For a simple dinner I ordered the antipasto, they bring out cheese and meats that honestly has the quality you would find at gourmet market or tops, nothing clearly artisanal Italian import quality or house made. The food was passable given it’s price point but the service was terrible considering I was the only person in the small restaurant, I walk in by myself and am not acknowledged for a few minutes, I was not offered water, I asked for water twice during the service and never got it. Even when my wine glass was empty I had to wave down for service. Plus their credit card machine was not working, so luckily I had enough cash on me to pay. Overall despite being in a busy area I can clearly see why no one comes back here.
