7 months agoThe cutest little udon restaurant, with an extensive menu and so many options, while keeping an authentic Japanese dining experience. We came here for our last dinner in Bangkok, and it was such a perfect choice that made the perfect ending to our month long trip to Thailand. The space itself is quite small, so I think it's more suitable for smaller groups (up to 4 people). The staff was so kind and patient, and the food was absolutely amazing!! From the noodles section we ordered the shoyu udon which is a dish of cold noodles with a raw egg on top, served with a few condiments on the side (soy sauce, chilli flakes, sesame seeds & chilli oil) that you can add as you wish to adjust it just the way you like it. This is the first time we tried this type of cold noodles dish, and we loved it! It was very special, and felt super authentic. For main dish we ordered the spicy sesame udon (tantan udon) which is a ramen soup that's sesame paste based, topped with ground pork, steamed bok choy, chilli oil, fresh scallion slices, toasted almonds and fried shallots flakes & fried garlic flakes. The creamy soup has very deep umami flavors provided by the sesame paste, and the chilli oil on top just gives it the perfect elevated kick. This was an absolutely divine dish, that was our favorite. Since we came quite late and very close to their closing time, we ordered several additional small dishes from the appetizers section. The first were grilled gyozas & boiled gyozas - both were filled with pork and were so good, each one on its way. Another two were the smashed cucumber pickles that was very refreshing and delicious, and the edamame soybeans. To conclude, if you're looking for a cute authentic udon restaurant, this is a must visit when you're in Bangkok - 10/10!!

3 months agoI had a very pleasant experience trying the Japanese-style noodles at Gaga Udon House. The staff were incredibly kind, and the atmosphere felt warm and cozy. As for the food, the broth had a deep umami flavor, though it was a bit saltier than I personally prefer. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for a comforting meal, and the great service makes it worth a visit!

5 months agoAs shop name suggests, the specialty is their house made fresh udon, that's really really really good. The ebi cream was intensely rich ebi goodness. You cant stop shovelling this down the hatch. It's that good. Everything we've ordered was delightful.

10 months agoThe udon had a satisfying chewiness, and the soup was flavorful and well-balanced. The atmosphere of the shop was cozy and inviting, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. The tempura was also quite good — crispy and not too oily. Overall, a solid spot for a comforting bowl of udon.
