La Scala is such a gem in the relaxed oasis of the Sukhothai hotel. The fresh ingredients and harmonious flavours really shine through. My wife and I love the refreshing Mediterranean/Italian semi-buffet lunch which features a beautiful buffet spread of antipasti, desserts (wonderful tiramisu!) etc - both a feast for the eyes and the stomach. Coupled with that, we get to choose a main each from a list of weekly rotating selections. Thank you too to the personable service staff, including Mam, Top, Dae, Ing-Fah, and Aon, for always making us feel comfortable. We always look forward to our meals here and they are certainly deserving of a visit (or multiple visits as we have done)!

We had a truly exceptional dining experience at La Scala. From start to finish, the evening was flawless and filled with thoughtful touches — the staff were not only highly professional, but also warm and incredibly attentive. We were celebrating a special occasion, and they made it unforgettable, surprising us several times throughout the meal. The menu was perfectly balanced. The cauliflower soup of the day was creamy and elegant, and the Lasagna was generous, comforting, and full of flavor — just the way it should be. The Wagyu Rib Eye was beautifully cooked, and the Risotto al Fegato and foie gras stood out with its depth and richness. The Apple Tart / vanilla ice cream was a perfect ending, with a crispy, buttery pastry that melted in the mouth. The glass of Côtes du Rhône we had paired perfectly with the meal, and we were also pleasantly surprised to receive a visit from the chef, who recently joined the restaurant — a lovely gesture that added to the sense of care and hospitality.

22 Aug 2025: New Italian menu by the new chef. I gotta say delicious indeed. Worth visiting. 2024: Love this current cuisine of this place. Chef Jean-Jacques does give a lift to this place pretty nicely. Might not be so Italian but delicious Mediterranean touches.

Great. Great Great. Food is the best (price is higher as well) but worth it. And the place is quiet. But a la carte menu is not variety. I had lunch buffet ( 1 main dish + all u can eat appetizer + dessert) at 1,250++ / pax with tea/coffee . appetizer : variety of cold cut & cheese, soup, pizza, salad and 7-8 menu. Pumpkin soup is quite sweet (not my taste) Dessert: macaron , homemade ice cream, assorted mini cake & my fav tiramisu . I selected fish for my main dish, very prefect, skin is so crispy , fresh fish, sauce is tasty.
