a week agoWent there on a Friday midday and ordered the pastrami sandwich with veggies pickles and mustard ; it was delicious. The portion looks small but they are very indulgent with the filling so I did feel full. The toasted rye sourdough gave much more density which made the meal even more enjoyable. It was really quiet and there is WiFi so I worked a little bit. They have a nice selection of pastries, sourdough and cut meat if you’re interested. Paid 980baht for the drink, meal and croissant and sourdough to take home which seems to be reasonable in my opinion. Definitely recommend if you want to brunch or take a break! :)

7 months agoAmazing brunch restaurant in Bangkok. Unique menu with a combination of American and European dishes. Fresh bake their bread and use only house-made ingredients! One of the few restaurants in Sukhumvit that takes time to really develop and put their hear into everything they serve. I got the pastrami and it was excellent! Being from LA, I wasn’t expecting awesome pastrami in Thailand but these guys definitely know what they're doing. Spoke to one of the owners and it's refreshing to see ownership on-site involved and managing the staff and customers to make sure everyone is having a good experience. So many good things on the menu. I wish I could try more but I'll definitely be back.

5 months agoNormally having sandwiches, but since they have a Christmas menu, I tried couple of them. It was really delicious and rich flavor. I had so much enjoyed it. The owner and staffs were very friendly even tho it seems pretty busy due to holiday season. And love their sourdough too.

3 months agoChefs and bakers are making the food fresh and stocking the counters with fresh baked goods! Staff are super friendly and I feel it’s a popular spot with the ladies as a lot were in there taking photos and enjoying the space. Rustic warehouse / kitchen / bakers shop feel but high end at the same time The French bread for me was to tough why I rated the food 4/5 but everyone else’s food looked amazing

3 months agoMy review is purely based on today’s experience and my first time at the 2nd floor of this restaurant. I have always enjoyed Larder and have been quite a regular here. However; when I came in for the experience today, I was disappointed. The staff was less than enthusiastic (as when their mgmt team was around perhaps). The ground floor was filled and I was led upstairs which appeared to be more a darker , muted room unlike the bright industrial airy and welcoming setting at level 1. I ordered the chicken schnitzel the first time but it appeared like it had been fried in not so fresh oil - and I do enjoy the other dishes I had more than this. After I had finished my meal, and left the dishes at the side of the table (picture attached , of which the staff would typically clear away when I am at the ground floor), the only staff on level 2 didn’t make any attempt to clear the dishes throughout my stay here. This is unlike the service at level 1 when they would typically clear away the untidiness so we can continue to enjoy our drink and stay. And there is no one at level 2 when I am writing this review , and the staff is just standing around . Overall today, I didn’t quite enjoy myself. I will still return as Larder has excellent food and drink - for me and it is by and large a pleasant place for brunch and all . But just not today. Hope the team can pay a little more attention to level 2 and for a more consistent service .
