One of my absolute favourite restaurants whenever I’m staying around the Silom area! 😍🍽️ The food here never disappoints — always so delicious and perfectly suited to my taste buds. Not overly spicy, just the right balance of flavours that makes every dish so enjoyable! 🌶️✨ I keep coming back for my all-time favourites — the pomelo salad 🥗, honey glazed pork belly 🍖, and the spicy tom yum soup 🍲. Each dish is consistently good and hits the spot every single time! Highly recommended if you’re looking for tasty Thai food that’s flavourful but not overwhelmingly spicy. Definitely a place I’ll return to again and again! 💯🙌 #BangkokEats #SilomFood #ThaiFoodLover #FoodieFinds #MustEat #TomYumLove #PorkBellyHeaven #PomeloSalad #FoodReview #WorthIt

~600THB/ person for 5 dishes excluded drinks We did have a very good time spending in such nice and cozy atmosphere and enjoy good Thai food. I recommend Massaman chicken curry and Pomelo salad 🥗🥘 Table set up for group either of 3-4 or even 6-8 is make the restarant spacious and bring the feeling of “enjoy meals together” 👍😌

My favorite meal I had in Bangkok, so good I went back and had it again! Busy place but both times I was able to be seated immediately as a party of one. Service is impeccable and food comes out so quick. Had the roast pork neck, the citrus salad and a butterfly pea tea drink—I’ll dream about this meal for a long time. Absolutely incredible and so reasonably priced for being a Michelin star restaurant!

Nice Lao / Isaan restaurant with the biggest chandelier I have seen in Bangkok so far. We had a few dishes. Some really good (especially the lumpy crab fried rice) some good. So overall a nice dinner experience. It seems to be a very popular place among Chinese tourists. Of it was only that specific day. But as Chinese food in general is very good having a lot of Chinese customers must be a sign of good quality.

🌶️🥥 I Walked in by Accident… and Now Lay Lao Silom Is on My Regular Rotation. Some of the best food discoveries happen when you’re not even looking. That’s exactly how I found Lay Lao (เล ลาว) – Silom. I stumbled in just before the lunch rush one day, thinking it would be a one-time visit. Fast forward a short while later—and I’ve already been back three times. That should tell you everything. Lay Lao is inspired by traditional Lao cuisine, particularly flavors from Luang Prabang, but presented in a way that fits modern, health-conscious city life. This is food that’s: • High protein • Low fat • Packed with fresh vegetables • Bold in flavor, not heavy in oil or sugar It’s the kind of place where you leave feeling satisfied, not sluggish. 🥗 My Go-To Order (Every Time) I’ve tried a few things, but this combo keeps pulling me back: • Luang Prabang green papaya salad – 3 chilies 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Perfectly spicy, fresh, and punchy. Bright acidity, clean heat, and just enough fire to keep things exciting. • Thai–French style sirloin Lean, well-cooked, and paired beautifully with purple sticky rice, which adds both texture and nutrition. This combo hits the sweet spot: protein-forward, veggie-rich, and deeply flavorful. 🍦 The Cooling Finish Everyone Needs After all that spice, there’s only one proper ending: Traditional Thai coconut ice cream with toppings 🥥✨ Creamy, refreshing, and not overly sweet—it cools everything down and resets your palate perfectly. Honestly, it’s a must-order. 🌿 A Bit of Background Lay Lao was created to bring authentic Lao flavors into everyday dining, without losing their soul. You’ll find influences from northeastern Thailand and Laos, especially Luang Prabang, with an emphasis on freshness, herbs, and balance. It’s traditional food that feels light, intentional, and very now. 💡 Pro Tips • Go before peak lunch hours if you want a calmer experience • Don’t be shy with the spice—3 chilies is the sweet spot if you can handle heat • Save room for dessert—the coconut ice cream isn’t optional 😉 ⭐ Recommended Dishes • Luang Prabang green papaya salad • Thai–French style sirloin with purple sticky rice • Any protein-forward mains with veggie sides • Thai coconut ice cream with toppings (non-negotiable) Lay Lao Silom is the kind of place you “accidentally” find—and then intentionally return to. Clean flavors, bold spice, nourishing plates, and a cooling coconut finish that ties it all together. I came in by chance… now Lay Lao is part of my routine. 👇 If you love spicy, clean, feel-good food—leave a reaction🔥🥗😋
