a week agoIncredible dining experience! We were trying to decide between Philippe on Sukhumvit 39 and this bistro version, and we definitely made the right choice. The casual, lively vibe here matched our style perfectly compared to a formal fine dining setting.Unfortunately, they were out of mussels, but we pivoted to the classics and they did not disappoint. We had the boeuf bourguignon, salmon in white wine, a frisée salad with poached egg and bacon, and the tomato gazpacho with Iberico ham. Every dish was decadent, authentic, and intentionally crafted without trying too hard.Voila—Chef Philippe himself was actually there! It is a refreshing change from the usual "Instagram-focused" French spots around Sukhumvit. Love it, nice place, and we will absolutely be back!

7 months agoNot only was the food incredibly delicious, but the chef also presented each dish beautifully, which enhanced the overall dining experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and comfortable. Chef Philip personally came by to greet us at the table, and the staff showed excellent service-mindedness and took great care of us. Highly recommended!

9 months agoWell lots to write about on Mason Philipe. It’s the small things that all put together add up to five stars. The owner greets the customer and always checks on the meal with attentive concern. The expertly trained Thai staff who with eagle eyes anticipate and respond to the needs of the customer. Really amazing service and kudos to the staff. The complimentary hot bread served with butter (and an actual butter knife), the palate cleanser between starter and main. The wine list- panoramically extensive with rightly so a focus on French wine. The food itself is hearty and rich with notes of Its Burgundy home. I had the goats cheese and puff pastry salad which was delicious but could have done with a little more crunch on the pastry. For mains the pork chop with apples and steamed vegetables and Dijon sauce. Super delicious and made me feel like I was back in a French kitchen. Additional Plus, Surprisingly prices are quite reasonable. A lovely meal and I dined solo, which typically results in poor service. Not here. I hate giving five stars as it devalues my taste buds. However in this case I had no option. Merci !!

4 months agoIf you’re looking for authentic French cuisine, Maison Philippe is the place to go. Offering traditional dishes, the chefs have created a genuine French menu that will not only make you feel like you’re in a Parisian bistro, but will truly make your taste buds travel. The food is delicious, nicely presented, and tastes like proper French cooking. The cheese platter offered a wide variety. Perhaps a small note identifying the cheeses on the plate would be helpful. Their apple tart was scrumptious, and the ice cream and sorbets were delicious. They also have a great selection of wines. The décor and atmosphere do not give the place the feel of a bistro and, although the servers were kind, the service felt rushed. This is something you don’t want in a French restaurant, as you should be able to enjoy each bite properly and take your time. Unfortunately, we did not have that luxury: dishes were served in quick succession, and there was no second round of bread to go with the cheese. I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking tasty French cuisine. However, do not expect vegetarian options, as there is no main course suitable for vegetarians.

4 months agoFood was exceptional. The onion soup is a must. For the mains we got the T-bone, duck confit, dover sole, and the beef bourguignon, all amazing.
