4 months agoDelicious sourdough bread with so many flavor options 🤍 Tried the OG sandwich (tuna melt style) today — super generous filling! Chose the multigrain bread and it did not disappoint at all 🥪 The ricotta kale salad was perfectly chopped, easy to eat, with a touch of pecans that paired so well. Super fresh and refreshing 🥗 Even though the place was quite busy, the service was fast and the food came out quickly. The takeaway order was packaged really well — breathable paper packaging to release heat, and placed in a thermal bag to keep everything warm. ♨️📦 Very impressed ✨ Can’t wait to come back and try other fillings!

2 months agoI like finding places with sourdough bread, and this place offers a bit of a fusion sandwich menu. We wanted a savory ham and cheese sandwich, but the bread was glazed with sugar. It was interesting, though. You should check the menu first. We tried sourdough bread with all the different spreads and liked the mentaiko the best. We ended up having to take some home. It's best to bring a friend to chat with because the food takes quite a while to prepare. The staff are friendly and speak good English. If the restaurant is empty, I recommend avoiding tables under the stairs; it can feel a bit cramped. I ordered the coconut matcha, which was delicious. Next time I'll try other menu items. They offer online delivery anyway I walked in and didn't have to queue for long.

5 months agoPinki’s Deli clearly has potential… it’s just still very much in its awkward teenage phase. The place is newly opened, and unfortunately, it shows. A dine-in order of a Caesar salad and a 4-bread selection took 45 minutes at 8:50am on a Sunday, which feels ambitious for breakfast. From what I could see, takeaway orders (especially Grab) were clearly being prioritised over people actually sitting there—at this rate, I may as well order takeaway next time and sit at home. That said, credit where it’s due: the food is genuinely good. The sourdoughs are high quality and delicious, and once the food finally arrived, eating it was great. From my seat on the second floor, I had a front-row view of the production line and watched my Caesar salad sit there unattended for a solid 7 minutes, waiting for a very busy waiter. At one point I honestly considered just walking downstairs and grabbing it myself. Pricing is reasonable, and conceptually they’re better positioned than Bartels or Holey—honestly, they could even give Conkey’s Bakery a run for its money once they figure out operations. The wait staff are clearly new and a bit nervous (they tried to clear our plates while we were very obviously still eating—half a sandwich still on the plate). I was nice to the kid though; we’ve all been there. Plenty of indoor seating, which is great, but outdoor seating would be a big upgrade, especially in cooler months like November and December. Parking is mostly paid but easy enough, and it’s a short walk from Ekkamai BTS. Final note: if you’re a vegan, gluten-free, oat-milk-only hipster, this place is not for you. This is a bread-forward, carb-loving establishment—and proudly so. 3 stars for now. Amazing food, but the operation needs to catch up quickly. This may change coming back in a few months, let’s see.

4 months agoNewly opened - be prepared for long queues. We got there at 11:30am and had to wait for an hour to get a table. Nice simple menu. Sourdough was delicious; sandwiches nicely toasted without being too oily. The short rib sandwich was a disappointment - the beef had a very heavy meaty/ farm corn beef type of flavor which was off putting. But overall good. Being newly opened staff are still very inexperienced. Such a busy restaurant but a lot of staff standing around leading to inefficient service. They also got our order wrong and another table next to us. No hate though as they are very friendly and trying their best. Nice to have another great sandwich joint in BKK along with Bartels, Larder and Holy! 🥪
