A Taste of Italy at the Hilton: Impeccable Food and Service My husband and I dined at Scalini on December 22, 2025, and it was a memorable evening. The hospitality was excellent right from the start, with a warm welcome from Pim at the reception. The food was exceptional. We shared the Burrata appetizer, followed by the signature Ossobuco Milanese for me and the Costata di Wagyu for my husband. We paired the meal with a La Linda Malbec, which complemented the dishes perfectly. The flavors were authentic—it really felt like a trip to Italy. What made the night special was the team. Pim, Honey, and David were incredibly friendly and attentive. We also appreciated Chef Im coming to our table to introduce himself. It was an amazing overall experience, and I cannot recommend Scalini enough!

I wouldn’t bother eating here again. I ordered two fairly simple dishes: bean soup and carbonara. The bean soup was acceptable, but the portion was ridiculously small for such a giant bowl. I think the oversized bowl even sucked the heat out of it, so it arrived just lukewarm — basically a tepid soup with only a few beans and some spinach. The carbonara was the worst I’ve had. It was just runny plain cream with powdered parmesan and a few tiny cubes of bacon. I ordered it with linguine-style pasta but was served spaghetti instead. It had almost no flavour, and when I tried to add salt, the shaker wouldn’t even dispense properly. A good carbonara should have egg yolk and quality cheese such as parmesan or pecorino, with some real depth of flavour — even something as simple as a touch of lemon zest would have helped. I honestly was expecting a lot more from a restaurant at the Hilton. A Waste of money.

Such an impressive improvement in terms of food and services. The restaurant is clean, cozy, spacious and private. Its decoration is quite modern. The food quality meets the standard and all dishes are flavorful with beautiful presentation. Only some details might be a bit away from my personal taste. They served each menu following the right order sequence. Their service mind is absolutely what makes me want to return the most.
