4 months agoWhile Bangkok’s dining and bar scene is beautifully diverse and inclusive (the ability to pay the bill is all that matters), it’s not easy to find a venue that’s suitable for hosting a group of friends of all ages. Some places are too niche, others lack warmth or soul, while many pubs seem like AI versions of English and Irish drinking establishments. Thank goodness then for Laughing Tiger (TG). It’s my central city spot of choice when I’m not with craft beer drinking pals, wine fans, or cocktail drinkers. Like Shohei Ohtani or Ian Botham, LG is a great allrounder with many strengths and positives. A comprehensive drinks list and food menu (western and Thai faves), a stylish but relaxed interior design, long tables built for socializing, an outdoor drinking space, close proximity to the Skytrain station, a great happy hour, and a fab service team - you can’t ask for more. Actually the service team is better than good, they’re excellent and a big reason why I visit whenever I am in the Sukhumvit area. May the Tiger smile, laugh, and roar for many years to come.

3 months agoJust moved into the neighborhood and couldn't help but notice how packed this place was tonight. The vibe looked so good that I had to stop by, and I'm so glad I did! Their Guinness on tap is a real standout—that nitrogen pour makes it incredibly smooth and fresh, exactly how a proper pint should be. For food, I went with their recommendation, the Beef & Guinness Pie. The beef and potatoes were stewed to perfection, and the crust was spot on. This place is definitely a local gem with a lot of character. If you're looking for a chill spot with great food and drinks in the area, this is it. I’ll definitely be a regular here!

2 months agoRidiculously good breakfast sandwich. The sausage was flavorful and really complemented their delicious bagel and the egg. Simple, but delectable. Good place to drink with a friendly staff and reasonable prices. American and English speaking friendly. Comfortable seating both inside and out.

8 months agoAn Absolute Gem in Bangkok! Our New Favourite Spot! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an incredible find! From the moment we walked into The Laughing Tiger, we were treated like regulars. The staff are some of the most genuinely welcoming and friendly people we've met, creating a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The biggest highlight for us was how they welcomed our dog. They didn't just tolerate her; they treated her like a special guest! They immediately found a comfortable spot for her to lie down and brought her a bowl of water without us even having to ask. It’s so refreshing to find a truly dog-friendly place like this. The service was second to none all evening, and the food was just fantastic. We both had a Thai curry, and it was absolutely outstanding – packed with authentic flavour and amazing value for money. Just when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, we were given a token for a free beer on our next visit when we paid the bill. It's thoughtful touches like this that make a place stand out. We also found out they have live music on the weekends, so we will DEFINITELY be back very soon. Highly, highly recommended! Thank you 🙏

5 months agoStopped here for an afternoon brunch. Enjoyed several bagel sandwiches and hamburgers, which were all quite tasty. Hollandaise sauce was very good. The kids loved the lava cake for dessert. It was, however a little pricey, but I guess normal for what you get.
