4 months agoAfter a very long day without really stopping to eat I was ready to really fill up and head to bed. This place was open late and the reviews seemed too good to be true. I started with a ceasar salad and it was crisp and flavorful. The bacon had a well defined snap that I enjoyed. I live in Japan where they frankly have never made a good carbonara but here the story was different. Rich and creamy. The sauce perfectly made and unbroken. Thick cuts of chewy bacon mixed with the same crispy ones from the salad. Every bite was wonderful. Finally was the pizza. The reviews seem to indicate a potential sogginess but that appears to only happen when you have it delivered. The crust was chewy, light, and had a crisp bite. It was absolutely perfect. I really can't recommend this place enough!

7 months agoThis place has such great reviews, How could I go wrong? Maybe I shouldn't have ordered Hawaiian pizza. The ham looked like luncheon meat. The pizza crust wet and soft. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was great. I am still gonna give 5 stars because, when they noticed I barely ate any of the pizza, the offered to change the order, that is great service.

5 months agoA Hidden Italian Paradise in Phra Khanong! If you are looking for an authentic taste of Italy tucked away in the bustling streets of Bangkok, look no further. My fiancée and I stumbled upon this incredible, Italian-owned gem on a quiet side street just a block or so away from the Phra Khanong BTS exit, and it was easily the best meal we've had in a long time. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and feels like you’ve been transported straight to a cozy trattoria in Rome. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making us feel like family from the moment we walked in. We started our meal with the Minestrone Soup, which was vibrant and packed with fresh vegetables in a savory, soul-warming broth. Paired with their Garlic Bread—which was perfectly toasted, buttery, and aromatic—it was the ultimate comfort start. For the mains, the Caesar Salad was crisp and fresh with a rich, creamy dressing, followed by a Margherita Pizza that featured a perfect wood-fired char and fragrant basil. Purests may object, but I added some pineapple. The Lasagna was the standout: layer upon layer of silky pasta and a deeply flavorful ragù that literally melted in our mouths. We finished the evening by sharing the Tiramisu, and oh my goodness—it was heavenly. Light, airy, and boasting the perfect balance of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and velvety mascarpone. It’s a "must-order" for anyone with a sweet tooth. It is so rare to find this level of culinary authenticity hidden away like this. Whether you’re on a date or just craving a real Italian feast, do yourself a favor and find this place. This spot is a true diamond in the rough! 🍷🍕🇮🇹 #BangkokEats #AuthenticItalian #PhraKhanong #HiddenGem #BangkokFoodie

3 months agoHad a wonderful experience at Zio Aldo. The mushroom truffle pasta was absolutely delicious — rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The wine selection was very good, and the complimentary chicken liver pâté was truly outstanding and such a lovely surprise. The staff were warm and friendly, and as a woman dining alone, I felt completely comfortable and well looked after from start to finish. A great spot for a relaxed, quality meal — I’ll definitely be back .
