Came across this charming Little Italian Bistro at the bottom of the stairs of the Saphan Taksin BTS station here in Bangkok. Quaint and unassuming, it is a a welcoming place with rustic decor mixed with a little whimsy. Relaxed with good vibes. (Beautifully crafted custum spiral staircase.) The staff was warm, friendly and prompt and we were seated right away. The menu had a good selection. The food was amazing! Comforting and tasty and was just what we needed. We had a Caesar salad (with crispy bacon and croutons, shaved parmasan) garlic bread and pasta with bolognese and meatballs. Everything was delicious. We were so pleased. Don't sleep on this place. Perfect fir date nights, or a relaxed dinner with friends.

Ailati Resto has a convenient spot near the metro and the building itself is pretty striking. Inside, the layout felt organized and easy to move around in, which I appreciated. There was a nice first impression overall, even though the experience didn’t completely win me over. It’s a place I could see working well for a casual stop in the area.

PROS: - Great location on the corner near the BTS and close to the river. - Building has character and a cosy interior. Feels like you are dining in old Siam. - Peroni is available - not on tap and at 200thb per bottle. CONS: - Service too fast. Pizza and pasta came within 5 minutes of ordering. - Food was not good. This did not taste at all like Italian pizza. Paper thin. Not fluffy or woodfired at all. Cracked into brittle pieces when trying to eat. - Pasta not fresh and drowned in Pesto sauce and sour cream - again not italian style at all. - We didn't even finish our food just paid and left. Really can't see how the reviews are this great. Again, its in a prime spot and has great atmosphere but the food, the whole reason for visiting, not up to scratch.

Love this place. The food is amazing. We ordered about 7 dishes for total of 5 people and we love every dish. My personal favorite would be the tuna steak and the sesame dressing salad. But others are also great. The salmon is perfectly cooked and the spaghetti is also cooked to our likeness. Pizza is also amazing, we request to do half/half so we get 2 styles per plate. What’s surprising is that the price is really not expensive considering how much we ate, how good the food was, and the location. It’s really affordable. The restaurant itself is not too big but got a really cozy vibe. There are two floors and the stairs to second floor could be quite a challenge (you do need to be extra careful) The service is top notch. Very kind and attentive. We require a lot and she is super helpful. We walked there so not sure how’s the parking, but we feel like there’s no parking there.

Dinner w 2 friends last night, delicious! I’ve passed here many times. What a smart move to finally stop in. Shared two fresh salads, pasta, a calzone, & mussels in a rich savory tomato marinade. Highly recommend! Just opposite BTS Saphan Taksin.
