5 months agoBanpuku Yokocho Silom in Bangkok delivers a lively izakaya vibe right opposite Chong Nonsi BTS (Exit 4), tucked into Silom Connext. The bright lights and energetic atmosphere instantly transport you to a bustling Japanese alley, making it perfect for casual nights with friends or colleagues. We visited recently and ordered a hearty spread that showcased the kitchen’s strengths. The yakisoba was fantastic—perfectly stir-fried with just the right chew and savory sauce. The pork katsu arrived golden and crisp, while the chicken karaage was juicy inside with a satisfying crunch. Sushi fans will appreciate the fresh spicy tuna roll and salmon roll, both well-balanced and generously portioned. Sides like the creamy potato salad and classic french fries rounded out the meal beautifully, hitting all the comfort-food notes. Everything impressed us except one Wagyu beef yakitori skewer, which felt underwhelming—lacking the expected marbling and tenderness that justifies the premium price. It was the only minor letdown in an otherwise excellent lineup. Service was attentive and friendly, with staff efficiently handling our large order and keeping drinks refreshed. The lively setting encouraged sharing plates and good conversation, enhancing the whole experience. Overall, Banpuku Yokocho Silom is a solid choice for authentic Japanese izakaya fare in the heart of Bangkok. We thoroughly enjoyed nearly every dish and would happily return, perhaps skipping the Wagyu skewer next time. Highly recommended for groups craving tasty, shareable Japanese bites in a fun, energetic environment.

11 months agoThe price is really good! They have so many options on the menu. (couldn’t even decide what to order 😅 ) Me and my friend were already pretty full so we thought we’d just get something light, but the food looked so good we ended up getting the grilled meat. And honestly Way cheaper than I think. For a beer, they’re doing this promo where they upsize your beer from M to L for free. Man, check it out!

3 months agoThis restaurant is amazing. I've been to many Izakayas in Jaoan, and this place is at that level. If you like Izakaya style restaurants, this should be on your radar.
