I’ve visited Birdies twice, and overall it’s a solid experience, though not without a few inconsistencies. My first visit was quite impressive. The place was lively and the food felt fresh and exciting. One small detail stood out. I had noted that it was my birthday when making the reservation, but it wasn’t acknowledged in any way. For a place positioning itself as fine dining, I would have expected at least a simple gesture or recognition. On my second visit with friends, the experience was still good, but slightly less memorable. We ordered the fried chicken again. I remember enjoying it more the first time, though that might come down to personal preference or the specific selection. The carrots dish stood out and was one of my favorites. The cocktails are actually quite strong for a restaurant setting. I would rate them around 8 out of 10, and they are reasonably priced. The bread was also very good. That said, the menu doesn’t seem to change much, and the second visit didn’t have the same level of excitement as the first. It might benefit from more variation or evolution over time. Overall, still worth visiting, but perhaps not somewhere I would return to frequently unless there are updates to the menu.

I went to Birdies as a group of 3 eager to try their signature burrata dish but ended up enjoying the Parker House Sourdough with chicken butter the most. I was surprised to have not enjoyed the burrata as much since it mainly had a mala taste to it as if I had made the sauce in a hotpot place. We were going to order their pork & duck meatballs but they did not have it and instead offered us their Lamb Meatballs which was surprisingly super soft and another favorite of ours. The drinks took a bit long to arrive but half way through service everyone in the restaurant was offered a complimentary shot, they also catered to my friend making her an alcohol-free shot which was cute. The chicken was good, definitely made better by its accompaniments like the sauce, cornbread side and singular pickle. For dessert we got their 'Weekend Chocolate Cake' which unfortunately did not meet our expectations. Although it looked exactly the same as the picture, the flavor was less of a warm gooey fudge cake but more a dry, fruity cake where the crème fraiche was quite overpowering and it tasted like the cake had been taken right out of a display. We should have opted for the sticky date pudding instead but were conscious of the bill considering Birdies 'fine dining' label. The service is akin to fine dining with attention on presenting the dishes correctly however the atmosphere is casual with many guests coming in for dates. Cocktail menu was also very cute and the drinks itself were delicious. Overall I enjoyed my time, some dishes great some just OK. The price also just OK - 4.5k for 3 people, I am glad to have tried but am unlikely to be revisiting based on the pretty high price per dish and moderate level of satisfaction.

Love how quaint this hidden gem is! Birdies has the most amazing burrata dish I’ve ever had in my life!!! A blend of American and Asian flavors and textures, the burrata is truly a work of art that is like no other burrata out there, largely thanks to the bun it’s served with. Clearly, the fried chicken is the main attraction on the menu. You can customize it by selecting from tenders, legs, wings, or eggplant (for vegetarians), then how you want the crust to be flavored (spicy, naked, hot honey), and what dip you’d like on the side (Alabama White, Comeback, Toum & Fermented Chilli, Our Ranch, Carolina Gold). You can also add extra pieces of chicken or caviar!! Everything has a touch of finesse to it that sets this common dish aside from its street counterparts. Only downside here is that you’ve got to climb up four flights of steep and narrow stairs to get up here. Well worth the effort nonetheless!!

Birdies Bangkok was a really wonderful experience. Located on the top floor (above a couple of weed shops!) this beautiful restaurant is a real gem in sukumvit. The food is delicious, perfectly made and well priced The staff are friendly and helpful and the owner was really lovely. The chicken was all delicious (we tried three types) and the small plates and sides were all fantastic. I can particularly recommend the watermelon, the fries and the spicy burrata The cocktails are also beautifully constructed and presented. Highly recommended

Nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. I came here on a Friday night and made a booking beforehand. Gotta say, my favourite dish was the bread with chicken butter—unexpectedly delicious and really stood out for me. The desserts are great as well. I’m usually not a big fan of sticky date pudding, but this one was extremely yummy. I was honestly about to order a second one but had to stop myself!
