Stopped into this El Gaucho spot due to the fantastic dinner I had at their Pattaya location. Unfortunately this dinner didn't live up to the hype or the price. Martini was excellent, even at 490 baht I would order it again. Bread portion of 3 pieces was small for the price, but nice to have the options of roasted garlic and blue cheese butter as spreads. Ordered the 13 oz. ribeye, medium, and Chicago style (blackened). I do this as 9 out of 10 steak restaurants always undercook their steaks. Sure enough, my steak came rare to medium rare, and not Chicago style at all. While I could have sent ot back, my friend's dinner had also arrived, and at these prices I expect the steak to be prepared properly. If the kitchen staff are not trained properly, use a thermometer, it's that easy. Service was mixed. The Bussers were excellent, always quick to bring water, bread, clear dishes. Our main Server was just okay, functional but not alert. We spent over 10 minutes with the dessert menu on our table while he was leaning on furniture. After several looks and a wave, he finally came to take our order. This is simply not acceptable when you're charging the prices El Gaucho does. I'll still try this restaurant chain one more time based on my Pattaya experience, but not at the Sukhumvit 19 location.

El Gaucho on Sukhumvit 19 is a solid spot if you’re craving steak in Bangkok. I ordered the ribeye and it was done right, good flavor, cooked properly, and exactly what you expect from a steakhouse like this. The bread with garlic butter and chimichurri was actually really good too. Simple, but worth mentioning. Service was smooth and the whole place has that classic steakhouse feel, nothing over the top, just consistent. Beautiful lighting jnfoors and outdide at night, nice ambience. Offers upstairs and outdoor dining. It’s not cheap, but you’re paying for quality. If you want a reliable steak in Bangkok, this is one of the better choices. They have a chain and just opened Soi 20 too.

Most of people came for hang out or meeting, celebrating something. Since I was just there for a meal and good steak, it didn’t feel relaxing for me. The steak quality was good as always. The food took quite a while to arrive, but staff that take care of us was good and overall still okay. All time favorite 👑👑 Steak (USDA Prime) 👑👑 Perfect cooked, perfect temperature

An excellent flagship outlet next to Terminal 21 mall and opposite The Westin Hotel in Sukhumvit. The Wagyu Striploin was excellent and melted in the mouth. The complementary caramel vodka shots were a nice ending to a satisfying meal. The Staff is polite and attentive. They have a special price for diners between 11am to 5pm, which means that a lunch would be better deal than dinner. Highly recommended!

I’ve tried El Gaucho many times at their Soi 11 branch, but this time I decided to give their Terminal 21 location a try. Oh boy — it was hands down the best steak I’ve had in my life. I ordered the mixed platter, and except for the lamb, the other three beef steaks were absolutely exceptional. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but trust me — you won’t regret it. Definitely recommended.
