  You may have noticed that I only write positive reviews, and there’s a reason for that. I only write about restaurants that I truly think are worth mentioning and that offer great value for money. In my opinion, negative reviews don’t really help anyone. If I don’t like a place, I simply move on and don’t mention it. That’s why I’m very happy to talk about this place. It’s an amazing spot — almost always with live music, a lively atmosphere, absolutely fantastic cocktails, delicious food, and an incredible vibe. You’ll find plenty of locals here, which says a lot. Honestly, part of me hopes this review doesn’t get read too much… because this has become one of our favorite places.

  Era-izaan is a really fun and unique place — it’s not your typical Isaan restaurant. It mixes Isaan food with Japanese izakaya style, which makes the whole experience feel more modern and interesting. The food is very flavorful and quite spicy, in a proper Isaan way. Dishes like somtam, grilled meats, and spicy salads are all bold and satisfying. Many people mention that everything is well-seasoned and great for sharing with friends.  The vibe is one of the highlights. It’s lively, a bit trendy, and has a mix of Japanese décor with Isaan energy, plus music that keeps the atmosphere fun but still relaxed.  The place is perfect for hanging out, having drinks, and enjoying a long dinner. Service is friendly and fast, and the menu is quite big, so you’ll have plenty of options to try. Prices are slightly higher than normal Isaan spots, but that’s expected for Thonglor and the overall experience.  Overall, Era-izaan is a great spot if you want spicy Isaan food in a more stylish, social setting. Perfect for dinner with friends, drinks, and a fun night out. 🌶️🍻✨

  I had this place on my must visit list and it did not disappoint! There was live music, which made it a really nice place to sit and relax. The concept is a mix of Isaan food and Japanese cuisine, a great idea. They also have karaoke rooms and a TV showing football, so it’s a perfect spot to hang out with friends.

  Fusion Thai-Japanese restaurant that I’ve visited multiple times. The food is consistently great, but the service has been disappointing on several occasions. During my last visit in between songkran, I noticed staff sitting in the A/C area drinking alcohol (around4-5pm i think), which felt quite unprofessional. Hope the team can improve on service, as it doesn’t reflect the quality of the food.

  One of my favorite izakayas in Bangkok. The fusion of Isaan-Japanese food is so smart, considering that Isaan cuisine is primarily big on bold, bright, and spicy flavors which pair really well with beer and other alcoholic drinks. The vibes are wonderfully chill, and it's a perfect place to hang out or catch up with friends. Prices are very reasonable.
