a month agoHere Hai is easily one of the best seafood restaurants I visited in Bangkok. The quality of the seafood was exceptional, and every dish was packed with fresh, rich flavors. The highlight was definitely the Insane Lump Crab Meat Fried Rice, loaded with generous chunks of sweet crab meat in every bite. The Prawn with Creamy Omelette was silky, comforting, and perfectly balanced. I also loved the Stir-Fried Scallops with Garlic & Pepper, which were fresh, tender, and full of flavor. The Stir-Fried Mantis Shrimp with Salt & Chilli had the perfect combination of crispiness and spice. The portions are generous, the ingredients are premium, and it’s easy to see why Here Hai has earned Michelin Guide recognition for multiple years. The staff were efficient despite the crowd, and the food was absolutely worth the wait. A must-visit for every seafood lover visiting Bangkok. Highly recommended!

3 months agoAbsolute Perfection – A Must-Visit in Bangkok! If you are looking for authentic, flavor-packed Thai seafood, Here Hai (Original Branch) completely lives up to the hype and then some. The Crab Fried Rice is legendary for a reason—it is loaded with massive, sweet chunks of crab meat in every single spoonful, boasting an incredible, smoky wok hei aroma. Unlike other places, they absolutely do not skimp on the portions here. Every piece of seafood, from the crab to the prawns, is impeccably fresh, perfectly cooked, and free of any fishy aftertaste. Their stir-fries are rich, masterfully balanced, and focus purely on high-quality execution rather than gimmicks. The atmosphere is lively, casual, and feels like a genuine local hotspot rather than a tourist trap. Despite the massive crowds, the service is incredibly efficient and the food arrives fast. I was already planning my next visit before I even left. Don't miss this place!

5 months agoHere Hai, the original shop on Ekkamai Road, is a well-known eatery famous for its huge crab dishes and bold Thai flavors. The interior is simple and casual, spread across two floors of seating, but the food is what draws the crowds. Every time I walk around this area, there’s a line of people waiting outside, so a bit of planning or a sprinkle of luck definitely helps. I arrived early on a Sunday and the place was already nearly full—luckily no queue. The kitchen focuses on fresh seafood sourced from southern Thailand, cooked using traditional Thai wok techniques that give the dishes that great smoky “wok hei” aroma. The menu features several signatures, including crab fried rice loaded with large chunks of real crab meat, the famous crab omelette, and other seafood dishes like mantis shrimp, prawns, and stir-fried vegetables. I went for the Stir-Fried Mantis Shrimp with Holy Basil, served with rice. The mantis shrimp worked nicely with the fragrant basil and a good level of spiciness. I also tried the stir-fried cabbage with fish sauce and spicy pork crackling—definitely fiery, but balanced well with rice and a cold soda. Prices might be slightly on the higher side compared to some local spots, but considering the portion size and quality, it’s well worth it. Clean place, lively atmosphere. There’s also another Here Hai branch in Siam Paragon, but visiting the original shop in Ekkamai definitely has its charm. I’ll be back to try the crab omelette or crab fried rice next time.

a month agoHere Hai rules 🦀🔥 If u love seafood n r in Bangkok I would swing by here for their seafood dishes. I had the Crab Omelette and the Mantis Shrimp and both were excellent. The Crab Omelette had a nice amount of crab and yummy eggs below it. Every spoonful gives you a nice chunk of fresh crab and it’s all very fresh and excellent tasting. The Mantis Shrimp has a great texture. It’s light, tender, and fried to perfection with lovely garlic that enhances the natural taste of the shrimp without overpowering it. Worth the wait and looking forward to a return trip!

2 months agoFirst time trying & I had to ask my Thai friends to join in, we all love their special sauces that really helped elevate every dish we pair with! The southern crab curry was something interesting for me, it was tangy & creamy, goes so well with the noodles. Garlic Mantis prawns was so fragrant, totallt delicious with rice and the green tangy sauce! Fried rice has solid wok hey flavour, each rice grain was thoroughly seasoned, so yummy!! And the fried spring rolls were completely filled with crab meat, it's so umami 😍🫶✨️
