They offer basically all the classic Thai dishes you’d expect, plus some rarer, more local specialties with regional flavors — like the Nam Prik Kapi. The food is delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic taste. The restaurant has a charming retro-style decor that gives it a very unique and cozy atmosphere. Surprisingly affordable prices for this area — really good value! The staff are polite and attentive, and the owner sometimes comes around to ask for feedback, which shows they truly care about their customers.

Super Duper Friendly Staff Matt, we really appreciate his kind service; it was truly welcoming. He is the star of the shop and delicious food are the plus. Flexible menu with the vege friendly options. We took more food for take away as well.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The fish didn’t taste fresh and definitely didn’t seem like it was prepared from live fish, which is something I usually expect at a place like this. The Pad Thai was also underwhelming — it lacked the depth of flavor and balance that makes this dish so enjoyable. Overall, the food fell short of expectations, and I don’t think I’d return.

We had a super good dinner at Madam Saranai. The food quality was excellent, authentic Thai flavors and beautifully prepared dishes. The service was also top-notch, very attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The Thai milk tea was one of the biggest surprises easily one of the best we’ve had in Bangkok. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a safe and reliable choice for great Thai food in Bangkok!

Some places don’t shout. They just quietly get everything right. Madame Saranair feels like one of those hidden gems you almost don’t want to talk about — because the moment you do, it won’t stay hidden for long. We ordered the yum salad, kapow kai, and a clear soup — and each dish reminded me why simplicity, when done properly, wins every time. The yum was outstanding. Bright, fresh, beautifully balanced. The citrus notes lifted the herbs, the spice was confident but controlled, and nothing was heavy or masked. It tasted like a kitchen that respects ingredients. The kapow kai was comfort food elevated through execution. Proper heat, generous basil, minced chicken cooked just right — not greasy, not drowned in sauce. Just honest, satisfying Thai cooking that hits the mark. The clear soup might seem simple, but it’s often where kitchens reveal themselves. The broth was clean, layered, and soothing — the kind of bowl you finish without even realizing. No theatrics. No gimmicks. Just very good food, done with care. Bangkok has plenty of places chasing trends. Madame Saranair quietly delivers substance. Definitely coming back — and maybe bringing a few people who appreciate finding places before they become “known.”
