Quilombo Thonglor is a fantastic addition to Bangkok’s dining scene. Although only about six months old, the owners have beautifully transformed a tired old building into an elegant European-inspired space full of character. The restaurant explains that “Quilombo” represents chaos—a lively, energetic atmosphere where great food, conversation, and celebration come together. The food was outstanding—an easy 5 stars—and what impressed me most was the speed of service. Our steaks arrived at the table in less than five minutes, perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. It’s definitely an upscale restaurant with premium prices, but the quality of the food, service, and ambience makes it well worth the experience.

Extremely satisfied. Everything was delicious. Not only the steak, but also the empanada, Iberico ham, and even the side dishes were excellent. Nothing felt careless or rushed, and I was genuinely impressed. The service was also top-class. Considering the quality, the prices are quite reasonable. This is a great steakhouse that would also be suitable for company dinners. I’ll come back. Update on June 29th, 2026 Reduced to 4 star. We had to wait about an hour after ordering our steak. By the time it arrived, the moment had completely passed and it spoiled the dining experience. The waiting time was simply unreasonable. Issuing the receipt was also unreasonably slow.

Some restaurants open their doors. Quilombo opens the gates to a cathedral of beef. From the moment you step inside, it feels like you've wandered into a sacred temple dedicated to the golden age of 1950s Buenos Aires. The interiors are warm, intimate and effortlessly stylish. In my opinion, it's the best-designed steakhouse in Bangkok—whether you're comparing American, Italian, Japanese or any other style. The atmosphere alone is worth the reservation. Do yourself a favour and arrive 30 minutes early. Grab a seat at the bar and start with a classic cocktail. For me, it was a perfectly chilled Gin Martini with olives. It sets the tone beautifully. Then comes something increasingly rare these days... a menu that actually knows what it's doing. No novel. No encyclopaedia. No menu-induced anxiety. Just 12 starters, 6 mains (4 steaks, a fish and a chicken), 6 sides and 3 salads. Boom. That's it. Ironically, the restaurant is called Quilombo—Argentinian slang for chaos—but there is absolutely nothing chaotic about this menu. It's focused, confident and refreshingly free of culinary gymnastics. The Chaos comes later tableside!!! Standouts? The Beef Tea, Empanadas, Crab Cocktail, Liver Pâté, Beef Tartare …especially when prepared tableside, Creamed Corn, perfectly cooked Rib Eye, Caesar Salad and a Chocolate Layer Cake that deserves its own standing ovation. The traditional parrilla delivers exceptional beef with precision, paired with one of Bangkok's finest selections of Argentinian wines. Everything celebrates the timeless trio of Argentine culture: fire, beef and wine. And don't skip the tableside theatre. Watching the Beef Tartare and Caesar Salad prepared in front of you reminds you that hospitality isn't just about feeding people….it's about creating moments. Huge congratulations to the entire Quilombo team - Manu, Chris, Franco, Ferran and Every member, from the hosts and bartenders to the kitchen and floor staff, clearly takes enormous pride in what they do. The service is warm without being overbearing, polished without being pretentious, and genuinely makes you feel welcome. Bangkok has plenty of places serving steak. Quilombo serves an experience and a master class in hospitality. If you're looking for the city's best steakhouse, stop searching. You've just found it.

Nice hidden steak place in thonglor. The ambience and decor is very warm and friendly. I had a great time there. Appetizers were superb. I really enjoyed the beef tartare. Other things were good too. Overall, had a great time. Recommend for medium size group
