  Roux’s is a small, intimate spot, but the food delivers well beyond its size. Several dishes really stood out — especially the escargot and Guytan — and there are still many items on the menu I didn’t get to try. worth a return visit. Overall, a very enjoyable dinner with a convenient location and easy parking.

  This was my second visit to Roux, and once again, this fusion gem did not disappoint. There is a consistent level of creativity here that keeps the dining experience exciting. The Highlights • Ebi Bomb: A standout starter. The shrimp was perfectly firm and snappy, encased in a light, expertly fried starch that provided a satisfying crunch. The accompanying sauce tied everything together with a rich, savory punch. • Tuna Tartare: A masterclass in texture. Pro-tip: make sure to mix it thoroughly with the fresh egg yolk before diving in. The yolk adds a luxurious creaminess that elevates the fresh tuna. • Somen: This was the ultimate palate cleanser. It felt incredibly fresh and served to brighten up the heavier flavors of the meal, acting as a refreshing bridge between courses. • Fluffy Soufflé Egg Cake: The undisputed star of the show. It arrived steaming hot, freshly made from the oven. The texture is cloud-like, but the real genius is the black salty topping, which provides a perfect savory contrast to the soft cake. 10/10.

  A hidden gem tucked away in Soi Convent. Parking is available at the church across the street, which makes visiting quite convenient in this area. The restaurant itself is small and the menu isn’t extensive, but every dish I’ve tried has been consistently delicious. I’ve been coming here since their days near Saladaeng, behind Silom Complex, and it’s great to see that the quality has remained the same over the years. The prices are reasonable for the quality, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for catching up and hanging out with friends over good food and drinks.

  We went there on a Saturday afternoon at around 4 o'clock without booking. Even though the sign said open at 5:30 pm (there is an afternoon break time), we were welcomed in warmly. Understandably, some of their more popular dishes, such as the grouper wellington and their maguro hoho, weren't available, but everything we ordered were delicious. We got a spin on a Caesar salad, which had bonito instead of anchovies, giving it a more smoky flavor to the salad. We also got the kare pork pie. The dough was soft and goes well with the curry, it was well seasoned and the beef tongue was very soft. We also got the kani donabe. The crab was very flavorful and the miso sauce was pleasantly briny and salty, it was very delicious with the rice. But the star of the show, for me, was the clam dish, หอยท้ายเภา, cooked in white wine, butter,and garlic. From my quick search, it is called Wrinkle wedged clams in English. I believe this one is seasonal. The clams were of large size, and they were cooked perfectly. It was plump, tender, and lightly springy, with a clean bite the releases briny sweetness as I chew. This sweetness is a perfect compliment to the distinct white wine and buttery flavors of the sauce, it was fun to eat! The interior is well decorated and I think it is a good place for a dinner date, but is also a great place to bring a small group of friends for a more intimate outing. I'd recommended booking this place instead of showing up unannounced like I did.
