We’ve been regular customers because this café is close to our condo, but unfortunately this visit will probably be our last. Two meals arrived on time, while our friend’s waffle never did. We were repeatedly told it was “almost ready,” only to find out after we’d already finished eating that the waffle had failed during preparation and needed to be remade. By the time it arrived, everyone else had already finished their meals. What disappointed us most was the service recovery. We were asked to choose a replacement, but at the end were told we’d still pay the higher price, with only a 10-baht discount. After the 10% service charge and 7% VAT, the “discount” felt more symbolic than sincere. We weren’t expecting free food. We were expecting empathy, honest communication, and a genuine effort to make things right. Sometimes great hospitality isn’t about the food—it’s about how you handle mistakes. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of that.

I was staying in the public house hotel for a couple of nights so ate at this restaurant both evenings. Firstly all servers were very helpful and attentive. The signature cocktails were excellent. For the price, I expected the food to be better. The prawn starter was overcooked. The Mac and cheese nuggets lacked seasoning and should have had more cheese inside. The steak main was good however the sauce overpowered everything and the steak lacked seasoning. The pizza was ok, nothing special. The desert tart was not very good at all, very disappointing. Overall the service and atmosphere compensated for the very average food.

Every time I did my Bangkok business trip - Public House Bangkok Soi 31 is the crib I choose to be. Many ask me aren’t you bored to visit same hotel - I told them not a single bit because the staff & hotel environment really make me feel home-away-from-home. The staff from every department makes me at home and career towards my delight, here I am going to mentioned their names (permission has been granted) Mini & Mam from service team, Chani the Barista, Kik & Ginger today’s Chef and Tim Tim the “tai ka chair” of the lot. Keep up the good work staff & crew of Public House Bangkok Soi 31 ❤️❤️❤️🏆🏆🏆

It’s my first try here and I am not disappointed at all. The restaurant is on the first floor. Impressively, they managed to have a perfect arrangement in a limited space they have. Western foods are mainly served here, and what I ordered was delish. Grilled dishes and pizzas made by a Josper oven they are proud of are my recommendation. … And oh, Negroni is so strong I really love.

Excellent co-working space / cafe operating within Public House. Well-designed and plenty of nooks to set up shop and work! Cafe is a bit pricey, and got pricier since the last time I came. Kinda strange - yes it’s a nice hotel lobby, but also, we’re in Thailand. Anyways, still great service from the ladies operating here, and private meeting rooms are usually readily available. I throughly enjoyed my cocoa nibs protein shake (extra pb) the first time. The second time, I asked for extra pb just like the first, and was told that it would incur an additional charge. As if the 250 thb + 7% + 10% service charge for the shake isn’t enough 😂 Will come back, but extremely sparingly due to the high cost and mid-service.
