5 months agoWe had a nice Japanese x Italian fusion food experience here at Aglio. The high ceiling of store makes it feel a little more spacious. To celebrate the birthday, we ordered some dishes here. Starting off with liver mousse for appetizer coming with berry jam. I found the liver mousse a bit fishy but trying it on bread with Jam turning out ok. Their cos Caesar salad was good with their tasty and strong dressing. For the pasta, we went with 2 menus: Miso Carbonara and Grilled Shrimp Pesto. Love both! With miso, it’s not same taste as Carbonara but more balanced and Umami but it came with a teeny tiny bit of bacon. Recommend all to try! For pesto pasta, the shrimps were fresh and went really well with pesto sauce but a standard good taste. For pizza, we went ahead with their signature Mentaiko Ikura Pizza. All the Umami came well from both Mentaiko and Ikura. The dough was fluffy and soft. But I found it to be too heavy for such topping. I would love it more if it is less airy. For the main, we ordered grilled Sea Bass to share. It came with a deconstruct tartare sauce that tasted pretty nice and strong. The fish is a but flaky. I would love it to be a little firmed for my own preference. Lastly, we ordered their signature Chocolate Mousse. They will served it right from the big pot on your table. It was creamy, heavy yet fluffy, slightly dark bitter chocolate taste. It was perfect to finish the meal. I love the atmosphere in the store where you could slowly hang out with your partner, friends and family. There are plenty of parking spaces but offer only 2 hours free parking, next minute after 2hrs will charge you 80 THB.

9 months agoIf you are looking for an Italian restaurant with a good atmosphere in the heart of Bangkok that perfectly combines the chic of Naples-style pizza and natural wine, "The Aglio Store - Sukhumvit 39" is one of the very interesting options. I recommend the menu: Dip and chips and Spaghetti's allé vongole, very delicious, suitable for both casual dining with friends or dating with a beautiful atmosphere and photo angles that can be repeated. There are many natural wines (Natural Wine) 🍷😣 to choose from. But if compared to the price according to the natural wine shop, in general, the price here is very high. The service is average, but the staff doesn't smile.

a month agoThe food was so delicious, especially the mentaiko ikura pizza. This combination of flavours works surprisingly well together. 🤤 We loved everything we tried and the staff were very attentive. Pity we're just passing through town, we'd love to come back and taste more of the menu!

a month agoThe food is incredible. I've never tried a fish roe pizza but I will now crave one. Highly recommend the spicy crab pasta too. Excellent service and atmosphere.

a year agoThe Aglio Store, an Italian restaurant on Petchburi Road, offers a fantastic atmosphere. The space is spacious and perfect for dining with a group of friends (and yes, we can get a bit loud 😂). The food? Absolutely delicious. The stars of the meal were the mentaiko pizza, Italian sausage pasta, and chocolate mousse—simply amazing. They also have a great selection of organic wines, including some Thai options, which is a nice touch. The only downside? Parking. While the first 2 hours are free, we stayed nearly 4 hours and had to pay 80 baht per hour after that. Definitely my fault for lingering, but still… ouch! 🫠
