a month agoIt's not a fancy dining place. In my opinion, it feels more like a Korean fast-food chain, but the quality of the food is still reliable. If I am dining alone, I actually enjoy this type of casual restaurant. I tried the pork belly BBQ set and also ordered the traditional soybean paste soup 🍲. While the complimentary side dishes might not be the highlight, the BBQ set was tasty and satisfying. One small tip: push the tray a little farther away, as pork belly can be quite oily, and hot oil is certainly the enemy of any nice T-shirt 😅 There is no need to overthink the menu or follow recommendations too closely. This is simply a casual place to enjoy a straightforward Korean meal. Keep it simple, enjoy the food, and don't make it too fancy or fussy.

5 months agoThe Mini BBQ set was delicious, and the portion was just right for one person to enjoy Korean BBQ for a meal. There are many other Korean menu items, including Korean Soju (alcohol) to pick from as well. The service was friendly and fast. The environment was clean, cozy, and less crowded, but I also noted the time when I visited was past lunchtime on a weekday. I imagine it to be more packed at lunch or dinner.

9 months agoThe Bibimbab @ EmQuartier serves authentic, hearty Korean food right in central Bangkok. I ordered the Kimchi Pancake, Kimchi Stew BBQ Set, and everything was delicious! The kimchi stew had a deep, rich flavor — comforting and perfectly balanced with rice — and the BBQ set came with tender grilled meat and tasty side dishes. The kimchi pancake was crispy on the outside and soft inside, just like in Korea. Service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant was clean and cozy, located conveniently in the EmQuartier food zone (connected to BTS Phrom Phong). A great spot when you crave real Korean comfort food while traveling in Bangkok!
