a month agoRumba (Thonglor Soi 13) – Bringing Japan’s Soup Pasta Culture to Bangkok Located in the heart of Thonglor, Rumba is a unique Japanese-style soup pasta restaurant and the sister brand of the popular soup curry shop, Tonkoro Yokocho. What makes Rumba special is its dedication to the noodles. They are cooked with roasted kombu (kelp), allowing rich umami flavors to penetrate the pasta itself, creating a chewy texture that perfectly complements the flavorful soup. One of the highlights is “Rumba de Zetsubou”, a rich and indulgent soup pasta packed with garlic, cream, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Another favorite is the spicy “Passionate Arrabbiata,” featuring a bold diavola sauce that delivers both heat and deep savory flavor.
